Nevada Revised Statute Chapter 207 makes it unlawful for a person to refuse
to relinquish a party line or public telephone immediately when he has been informed that the line is needed for an
emergency call. Also, it is unlawful for a person to secure the use of a party line or public telephone by falsely stating
that it is needed for an emergency call. “Emergency Call" means a situation in which property or human life is in jeopardy
and the prompt summoning of aid is essential.
In an Emergency the fastest way to get Help is to dial the number yourself.
WHEN REPORTING AN EMERGENCY
Please give your name, telephone number, ADDRESS OF EMERGENCY and STATE TYPE OF EMERGENCY (this is of extreme importance). DO NOT HESITATE to pass on any information which will speed aid. And stay on the line until you are certain someone understands the address at which help is needed.
